Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classical, old boleros as well as classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play the piano and sing in the early years alongside her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. At the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and different cities when she was a young musician and student. When she moved to America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in the southern part of California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a teacher and performer. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
